Change of plannnnnn

So, I haven't blogged in over a week. Been incredibly busy sorting out the Bitter Strings desktop website. It's coming along really nicely. Had a couple of meetings with the lads and the desktop version of the website is almost complete!

The layout of the website has near enough stayed the same, but the design of it has completely turned on it's head. Here's some handsome lookin screenshots of the site as it is so far.

Wireframes galore!

I've done some more wireframes for desktop on photoshop, here's what i've come up with! Only a rough idea but it gives me something to work from.

My artist for the second DP3 project.

Bitter Strings are a three piece rock/indie band consisting of, Ben McConnachie (Lead Singer/ Guitarist), Mike Smith (Bassist) and Luke Pratt (Percussion). The band were formed in 2011 and are due to release their EP in February, an early 1980's 16" tape recorder. Bitter Strings are influenced by 60's rock music and their name originates from a 1960's British Film.

I have worked with them in the past on a photoshoot and loved working with them. I contacted them about working with them again on this DP3 project. They also want me to make a website for them! I can't wait to get started!

Happy new year! Now it's time for action...

Due to the disappointment of my abysmal voyage project I have got myself motivated for an amazing 2 terms packed full of self study, hard work, freelance opportunities & applying for potential work experience placements. I really need to kick it up a gear! Now that I have got all work & home issues sorted, it's time to really crack down on my work.

So what's my plan?

The second assignment for context 2 is to make an online portfolio showcasing my work within my pathway. I have already thought about what sort of site I want to do, and I have downloaded Adobe Illustrator so that I can add that personal touch to my website in a professional way. (hand drawn graphics are so last term).

The next DP3 assignment is to Design and build an artist / arts organisation mobile website / app. This needs to be based on a real client & can be anyone from the arts industry. I have already found my client & I have organised to keep in contact with them so they can see my development of my design. My client is a local band consisting of 3 members that only started in 2011. Details on them will be posted at a later date :)

I'm actually really excited about these two projects. Working with people is right up my street as I love the satisfaction of making something for someone!
